Valéry Ridde, Ph. D.
I am Assistant Professor of Public Health in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine of the Université de Montréal; researcher at the Research Centre of the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM); and Associate Professor in Health Sciences at the IRSS (Health Sciences Research Institute) of the Centre national de la recherche scientifique et technologique (CNRST) of Burkina Faso. I have a new research fellowship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) My research is focused on the funding of health services, program evaluation and public health policies. Most of my research is done in West Africa with and for potential users of the knowledge produced: Ministries of Health, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community and international organizations. I am also assistant editor of the journals Global Health Promotion and BMC Health Services Research.
