Nathalie Houlfort, Ph. D.

I am Professor of the psychology of work and organizations at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and co-holder of the Chair CJM-IU-UQAM on the study of knowledge utilization in the field of child and family welfare. My interests are the organizational and individual factors that facilitate or impede knowledge transfer in organizations, as well as the organizational and individual consequences of such transfers. My work also looks at the role of motivational processes in the daily lives of workers. My current research projects involve knowledge transfer strategies, conflicts between work and personal life and passion for work, based on the theory of self-determination.

Fields of activity associated with transfer:

  • Motivation at work
  • Work-personal life conflicts
  • Passion for work
  • Self-determination
