Julie Lane, Ph. D., M. Éd.

I have always been motivated by an insatiable desire to contribute to the improvement of practices that enhance the public’s well-being.  I currently holds the position of Head of Knowledge Transfer service, libraries and leading practices in the integrated university Centre for Health and Social Services Estrie – Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke. I am also an associate professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Université de Sherbrooke. Furthermore, I have worked for several years at the CSSS-IUGS as coordinator of local, regional and national projects intended to support service providers and managers in the development of their practices (deployment of practice guides, training programs, etc.). Before joining the CSSS-IUGS, I worked as a consultant with various organizations, including some concerned with occupational health and safety: the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail du Québec (CSST) and the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST). I have also been an instructor at the Université de Sherbrooke and Université de Montréal in courses on learning and teaching.
