Her profile on

Isabelle Agier, Ph. D.

I am research coordinator for the program on research and community interventions for health equity in Burkina Faso. Directed by Valéry Ridde, Ph. D., I conduct research on maternal and child health topics and financing the health system in Burkina Faso. I did my doctoral and post-doctoral research on microfinance in Brazil and India. My areas of expertise are development economics and quantitative methods. Moreover, my current work enables me to expand my competencies in the areas of health and qualitative methodologies. An important dimension of the program I coordinate is the general dissemination of research results, in particular decision-makers and field workers. In doing so, knowledge transfer is a key tool.

Areas of activity associated with transfer:

  • Equity and health
